On the way to Aeriopoli, just 3 km away from Stoupa, shortly after Agios Nikolaos, you will find this extraordinary Taverna on the right side of the road.
Have a wonderful meal and enjoy the famous starters. We visit Stathi and his familiy very often, talking, drinking and watching the sunset.

Express- (ΕΞΠΡΕΣ) Busse benötigen ca. 3 Stunden, die regulären Busse etwa 4 Stunden von Athen nach Kalamata bzw. umgekehrt. (Εκτός ΣΑΒΒΑΤΟ = nicht an Samstagen)

Busse von Kalamata nach Stoupa um 4:45 (nicht am Wochenende), 7:00, 13:15 und 18:15 (Quelle Zorbas Travel Agency)

This information is from 22. march 2006

You arrive at the airport. on the right hand side of the arrival building you will find the City Bus X 93 waiting.
This will bring you to the Bus station KIFISOS. There you take the bus to Kalamata. Tickets are available there at some counters.
Schedule - aktueller Fahrplan

I recommend to take a taxi from Kalamata to Stoupa - this costs about € 30,00 (better than waiting for the next bus to Stoupa, which goes normally at 5:00 pm)

The timetable (dromologio) for your return (epistrophie) is written on the tickets, so there´s no need to mention it here.
